Rajah Spices Heritage:
In 1931, Rajah's inception took place as a response to a former Indian army officer's longing for the comforts of homemade cuisine while residing in London. Recognizing an untapped market, he established a quaint establishment named Bombay Emporium. This marked the genesis of importing premium Indian spices to London. The store's initial offerings comprised an assortment of whole and ground Indian spices. However, with the burgeoning UK Asian community and the nation's growing appetite for Asian flavors, the spectrum expanded. Alongside spices, the repertoire now included seasonings, curry pastes, chutneys, pickles, and poppadums. The nomenclature 'Rajah' spices was a fitting choice, as these delectable masalas swiftly ascended to sovereignty within South Asian kitchens across the UK, captivating palates and hearts alike.
